Every month we sit down with one of our amazing ABA members to get to know them a little better! For November, we sat down with Elisabeth from Elisabeth’s Hangar. We ask each member the same questions, providing an opportunity for our members to highlight the important work that they do in our communities. If you’re an ABA Member and would like to be considered for future Monthly Member Highlights, please reach out to us via email at info@altonbusinessassociation.com
Q. Tell us about your business
A. Elisabeth’s Hangar is a women’s boutique that offers beautiful clothing, handbags, boots, jewelry and cosmetics. I strive to make each customer feel welcome and special! I like to think I have something for every lady out there. My goal is to elevate the self esteem of all of my customers by helping them select clothing that makes them feel beautiful.
A. I am a retired airline pilot after flying for UPS for 31 years. I flew all over the world and my experience of shopping in cities on just about every continent made me want to open a boutique. I enjoy seeing my customers find merchandise that makes them feel good about themselves.
A. “I’ve always had a passion for fashion, and my husband encouraged me to follow my dream by helping me open Elisabeth’s Hangar. We did all of the renovations of the store ourselves and together. Our goal was to make the boutique welcoming. He also wanted to make sure that men who come in with their wives or girlfriends have a nice place to sit and relax while they wait. I offer Wi-Fi, coffee, water, beer and wine to make them comfortable.
We also offer free electric vehicle charging!”
A. Christy approached me when we were renovating and has been extremely helpful in guiding me. I really had no idea what running a small business entails, and it was wonderful to have the support of the ABA from the beginning.
