June News

A few words from our ABA Chair, Christy Painchaud

Well I hope everyone has their air conditioners in or is at least staying cool in some fashion, maybe a dip in Lake Winni?!  It’s officially “summer” and so many hopping things are going on in our town and surrounding communities!  I don’t know about you guys but I’m loving being able to SOCIALIZE again! We had so much fun at our June ABA Member Meeting, hosted at Christine O’Brien Real Estate, chatting over our ABA agenda while enjoying pizza and networking too!! We hope to see more of our Member’s faces at our next Member Meeting on July 8th, hosted at River Run and food available by Baked Brewed & Organically Moo’ed (both ABA Members)!

Please take moment to catch up below on all the happenings over the past month and mark your calendars for all the upcoming events we have going on!  Remember, you don’t have to be in the ABA to participate or volunteer in our events.  We are an all volunteer board of directors and appreciate ANY and ALL the help we can get to help keep our association moving ONWARD AND UPWARD! Our member list is growing by the month and we now have over 80 members!!  Annddd did you know they’re ALL listed on our website under our business directory?! So no more polling the FB community page for business searches, just simply search our directory and SUPPORT LOCAL!

I can’t wait to see everyone at our next big events during the Town of Alton “Old Home Week” Celebrations in August, which is hosted by the Town of Alton, Old Home Week Committee.  Our Parade Committee is in high gear working to bring our town an amazing Old Home Day Parade on August 14th @ 10 am!  The ABA will also have a tent at the town block party and we’ll be hosting the Kid’s Movie Night in the Bay. (Scroll down for more event details and learn to how to be a parade participant or sponsor!)

Now go get on those bathing suits AND enjoy all the adventures this season brings!  Stay safe on the land + lake this summer! Anddd have a safe and Happy 4th of July!!  Happy Independence Day America!!
