ABA Monthly Member Highlight: Zero Waste and Recycling Services, Inc

Every month we sit down with one of our amazing ABA members to get to know them a little better! We ask each member the same questions, providing an opportunity for our members to highlight the important work that they do in our communities. If you’re an ABA Member and would like to be considered for future Monthly Member Highlights, please reach out to us via email at info@altonbusinessassociation.com

Q: Tell us about your business?

A: We offer permanent commercial front load trash and cardboard recycling dumpsters as well as temporary roll-offs for clean outs and construction.

Q: Tell us about yourself:

A: I am very customer service-oriented and responsive to the needs of our customers. I love to help people find solutions to their waste removal needs in the most cost-effective and efficient way possible.

Q: How did your business get started?

A: This is the second trash and recycling company that our owners have started. They started a smaller business in the Laconia area just out of college then sold it to a larger company. With the proceeds from the sale, they were able to purchase land in Bow, NH to serve as a transfer station and central base for operations for Zero Waste and Recycling Services, Inc. We are proud to now be New Hampshire’s largest independently owned trash and recycling company with over 28 years of exceptional service.

Q: What has your relationship with the Alton Business Association done for you or your business?

A: Being part of the Alton Business Association has helped us spread the word that we have expanded our service area to include Alton. Networking with local business owners has been fun and beneficial to growing our business.

Q: What do you value most about this community?

A: Alton has grown tremendously in the past 23 years that I have been in the area. They have a beautiful school which attracts more families. This leads to more businesses. I hope that Alton continues to see that growth of businesses benefits everyone in the area.

Q: Why did you want to open your business in this community?

A: We expanded our service area to include Alton because we worked with the Community Action Programs of Belknap and Merrimack Counties and we were able to save them a considerable amount of money by switching all of their residential and service locations to Zero Waste and Recycling Services, Inc. We have since added more customers and look forward to continue to offer more Alton businesses the opportunity to work with us.

Q: What business accomplishment are you most proud of?

A: I love working with non-profit organizations. They need help with trash and recycling just like for-profit companies. Employees and volunteers are often wearing many hats and I love helping make the waste removal part of their operations run smoothly.

Q: What does the future hold for you and your business?

A: We plan to continue to grow throughout New Hampshire. However, we will always continue to offer the absolute best service and customer service to each and every customer, no matter how big or small. Our motto has always been “Zero Waste, Zero Problems.” We want to help more businesses and organizations throughout New Hampshire experience what that means and how it benefits their business goals.

Q: How can people who want to learn more about you or your business get in touch with you?

A: I can be reached directly on my cell at 603-234-1012 or e-mail beth.hall@zerowastenh.com. Our website is zerowastenh.com
