January News

A few words from our ABA Chair, Christy Painchaud

Well it’s still not too late to say Happy New Year, right?! I hope everyone is peacefully settling in their new groove for 2021! As we embark on the new year, we tend to reflect on the past year and maybe look at ways we could improve or expand in the future (or some may just stay the course and that’s ok too)!  I know I’m doing this personally, with my businesses and under my volunteer duties as the ABA Chair.  With that said, I’m happy to announce the ABA Board of Directors have worked together to implement new initiatives for our members and community residents to benefit from.  Not only are we committed to keeping our event traditions alive (with virtual modifications), we’ve rolled out a monthly business tip/marketing advice blog post (also featured in our monthly newsletter) and we’re also starting a new monthly member meeting format with a member speaker at the end of each meeting.  We’re hopeful this will offer an opportunity for members to learn or listen to something new from another member and we’re hoping guests will join in as well.  We’re hopeful this initiative will highlight the talented business owners and services offered in our community and how when we come together, we can build stronger businesses which leads to a more resilient community!

I wish all of our members, subscribers and community followers health & happiness in the New Year and remember if you can be anything,

BE KIND! ~Christy
