Register for Festival of Trees
Here’s how it works:

Complete our online registration form to reserve your spot.

Bring a small or large tree (or wreath) and decorate it at our scheduled setup date and time.

Add a special raffle item to pair with your display. Only the raffle item will be raffled off — you may take your decorated tree home if you choose.

Items will be part of our $1 raffle, with proceeds staying local and benefiting the Alton Community Services Ms. Santa Fund.

Community members will also vote for their favorite tree, with a “Community Favorite” recognition.
- Open to everyone.
There will be a gingerbread house display and a table filled with hot chocolate, cookies, and other free sweet treats donated by generous community members!

Saturday, December 6, from 11 am – 7 pm
Sunday, December 7, from 11 am – 2 pm
at the Gilman Museum!
The Festival of Trees is part of Alton’s annual Light Up Night celebration and begins with the lighting of the Town Hall tree in Monument Square. This beloved tradition brings our community together to welcome the holiday season with sparkle, warmth, and festive spirit.
The Festival of Trees are displayed in the Gilman Museum and is a wonderful way for local businesses, organizations, and residents to get creative and share their community pride. Community members are invited to wander through the trees and purchase 1$ tickets to enter to win raffle items offered on each tree. Whether you decorate with items you sell, create a theme that represents your organization, or simply celebrate the holiday spirit, this event is your chance to showcase what you do in a fun and memorable way!

SUPPORT LOCAL
In addition to the Festival of Trees raffle, we’re celebrating the Season of Giving! This is a special time for our community to come together, share holiday cheer, and support those in need in our community.
GIVING TREE – Alton Business Association will have a Giving Tree at Festival of Trees with shelves to collect nonperishable food, helping to bring warmth and nourishment to families through Alton Community Services.
WISHING TREE – Profile Bank will host a Wishing Tree at Festival of Trees, where less fortunate families can share their holiday gift wishes and experience the joy of the season. Pick an ornament request that resonates with you and give the gift of holiday magic to a family in need.
HAT & MITTEN TREE – American Legion of Alton will host a Hat and Mitten Tree to spread holiday cheer to local veterans in need.

This event is free to participate, free to attend, and open to the public. It’s a festive way to promote your business or organization, connect with neighbors, and spread holiday cheer — all while supporting community!
