February News

A few words from our ABA Chair, Christy Painchaud

Well Winter has finally arrived in NH and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m embracing all the snowy fun this season brings! Last weekend we wrapped up our largest annual fundraiser event of the year, the ABA Alton Winter Carnival.  While this event was so much different than years past, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we were happy to still be able to provide some winter fun for our community!  It was incredibly HEARTWARMING to see so many families get out and visit the Bay and snap selfies posing next to our sponsored Winter Carnival Ice Sculptures!  We sold over 3000 tickets for our Winter Carnival Virtual Fundraising Raffle too!  My take away after this event, is that we are a thriving community supported by CARING business owners and residents!  Our heart ice sculpture had a quote engraved on it that read, “The Act of Giving is the Heart of Happiness and Community!”  We are one HAPPY and GIVING community, throughout Alton and beyond!  Keep on spreading the LOVE, from supporting our local businesses to helping an elderly neighbor shovel (or plow) their driveway this winter season.  Together, we can do great things and THANK YOU for being a part of AND supporting the ABA mission!  ~Christy

Monthly Member Highlight: Northeast Security Agency

Every month we sit down with one of our amazing ABA members to get to know them a little better! For January, we sat down with Craig Stevenson from Northeast Security Agency. We ask each member the same questions, providing an opportunity for our members to highlight the important work that they do in our communities. If you’re an ABA Member and would like to be considered for future Monthly Member Highlights, please reach out to us via email at info@altonbusinessassociation.com

A huge THANK YOU to our event sponsors who helped make the 2021 Winter Carnival possible! A special thank you to Profile Bank for their sponsorship too, which didn’t make the deadline for banner print, but we wanted to publicly acknowledge their support!  Our amazing sponsors enabled us to purchase three beautiful Ice Sculptures (pictured below and designed by Ice Designs by Jeff Day) for our community to enjoy!

❤️ THANK YOU so much to everyone who purchased raffle tickets to support our Winter Carnival Virtual Raffle Fun(raising) event!

We’re happy to report our raffle alone raised $2855 and we’re so thankful for the support from our community! We could not have done this without the support of our local businesses who donated all the prizes!  We want to extend gratitude to our raffle donors: Alton Circle GroceryAlton ExcavationAlton Home & Lumber CenterBella Winni SalonCatchpennyGunstock Mountain ResortHannafordInspiration for OrganizationIrwin Marine of Alton BayK-9 Kreations By the BayKatie’s KitchenLake Life BrandNortheast Security AgencySeacoast Spine & Sports Injuries ClinicShibley’s at the PierSimple Beautiful Nails by Jennifer OsgoodThe Little Christmas Cottage!
