On behalf of the entire ABA Board of Directors, I wanted to send a warm THANK YOU to all of our ABA Members & Supporters honoring your continued support this past year. The year of 2021 was a rebound year for most of us after many hard struggles from 2020. So many of us faced (and continue to face) challenges with our businesses AND family life, so we TRULY appreciate and notice your resiliency through it all and your commitment to keeping your businesses and our community thriving! We’re happy to report our association has continued to evolve and GROW, and we’ll be closing 2021 with 94 members! This membership growth proves that outreach works and that we grow stronger together as a community!
You’ll notice when you renew or join as a new member this year, we’ve asked you to sign up for one committee to serve on. We’re hopeful this will provide everyone an opportunity to volunteer or provide input where your interest and time allows. This effort will also help reduce the workload off of the same volunteers who are at every event. We’ve also moved our elections and annual meeting to March, so stay tuned for more information on that. This decision was made in order to better align board member transitions after our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Alton Winter Carnival in February (and it’s scheduled for 2/20/22 next year so mark your calendars)!
Again, we are truly grateful for all our members, sponsors and community support!! Our association is dedicated to promoting community involvement & economic growth in our town and surrounding areas! Without you, the ABA would cease to exist and prosper! Please keep on doing what you’re doing and remember to be local, buy local and support local!
Thank you for all you do for our community!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & Happy New Year
to you, your staff & your families!
