The Alton Business Association (ABA) is proud to be guided by a dedicated Board of Directors who live, work, and give back to our community. Our board members are local business owners, community leaders, and passionate volunteers who bring a diverse range of expertise, energy, and ideas to the table. They share a common goal: to support local commerce and enhance the quality of life in our beautiful lakeside community.
Whether it’s organizing local events, mentoring entrepreneurs, or advocating for small business needs, our board plays an active role in helping the Lakes Region thrive. Their work reflects a strong commitment not only to economic vitality, but to the spirit of collaboration and neighborly care that makes Alton such a special place to live and do business.

Sarah Goodrum, Chairperson
Sarah Goodrum, is an accomplished leader recognized for building dynamic networks, advancing organizational growth, and fostering community and business success. With expertise in strategic marketing, business development, and membership engagement, Sarah’s leadership approach blends vision, collaboration, and execution.
She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Marketing from Plymouth State University, complemented by a bachelor’s degree from Granite State College and an associate degree from Mount Washington College. Sarah is also a proud member of the Leadership Lakes Region Class of 2025, strengthening her leadership philosophy through community-focused development.
Throughout her career, Sarah has been known for her ability to unite businesses, nonprofits, and civic organizations around shared goals. She leads engagement strategies, designs initiatives that amplify impact, and fosters relationships that build stronger, more vibrant communities. Her strategic mindset and ability to inspire action have made her a valued leader in every role she has held.
Currently, Sarah serves as Chair of the Alton Business Association as well as the owner of The SG & Co LLC, where she helps guide member development, networking, and business growth across the region.
Sarah’s leadership is grounded in a belief that true progress happens when people are connected, supported, and empowered to lead together.

Catherine Gesky, Vice-Chair
Catherine took over L&R Cleaning Unlimited in January 2021. Having years of cleaning experience herself, it was the perfect fit. She also has years of experience as a nurse for the state of NH and still practices for the other family business.
Catherine and her husband live in Alton Bay and have three children. They love to be outside exploring and enjoying all that our area has to offer.
Erica McKay, Treasurer
Erica McKay is a lifelong artist and entrepreneur. She began her entrepreneurship in 2000 at 19 years old and has been self-employed ever since.
At 21, in her second degree in college, she left New Hampshire for Florida where she took business classes and was trained to draw caricatures at Walt Disney World. Four years later, she returned to New Hampshire to finish her second degree and open a graphic design agency. She spent several years running her own publication that produced over 20,000 books a month while growing her brick and mortar advertising company in Strafford County.
In 2013, Erica went remote with her business and traveled across the country to Las Vegas. There she gained dynamic experience drawing caricatures on the Las Vegas Boulevard, producing packaging and advertising design for a major TV production company and launching business building classes nation-wide.In 2018, Erica bought a house in the Lakes Region. She is now homeschooling her 9 year old son, who is also an entrepreneur, and works remotely as a graphic designer, entertains events as a caricature artist and has a gig entertainment company serving four New England states.
Heather Dominick, Media Director
Heather has over 25 years of experience in the design and print industry. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design/Letterform from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. She graduated from Leadership Lakes Region, Class of 2025. Starting her independent business twelve years ago allowed her to put her family first while still indulging her passions and creativity as an artist. Today she makes and sells custom art and decorative signs. She also creates handmade journals, greeting cards, and stickers. There are also a few freelance design jobs sprinkled in to the mix. She has been a resident of Alton for over twenty years. She shares life with her husband, Toby, and their two children. In her spare time, you’ll find her painting, brainstorming new ideas with her daughter, snapping photos with her son, chasing the sunsets on Lake Winnipesaukee, boating with family, and kayaking on our gorgeous local waterways.
Wendi (Coolen) Zimmermann, Membership Director
Finance & Administrative Professional | Community Advocate | U.S. Veteran Supporter
Wendi (Coolen) Zimmermann is a dedicated finance and administrative professional with over a decade of experience supporting business operations across the construction, automotive, and hospitality sectors. Known for her reliability, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, Wendi brings a results-driven mindset to every role she undertakes.
Her career highlights include serving as a Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant for regional businesses such as Epping Auto Salvage and Thomas A. Dube Construction Plus, where she handled full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll coordination, accounts reconciliation, job costing, and audit preparation. She also brings extensive experience in customer-facing roles, having bartended and managed daily operations at the Kingston Veterans Club and R.A. Mitchell American Legion.
Wendi holds two Associate of Science degrees from Manchester Community College—one in Accounting and another in Business Administration and Management. During her academic years, she served as President of the Accounting Club and was actively involved in student leadership programs such as TRIO and STRIDE.
A longtime resident of New Hampshire, Wendi is deeply involved in veteran-focused community service. She has held numerous leadership positions with the American Legion—including Post Commander, Senior Vice Commander, and Child & Youth Officer—demonstrating her commitment to civic duty and volunteerism.
Wendi’s passion for supporting local businesses and strengthening community ties makes her a proud contributor to the Alton Business Association. Her blend of financial acumen and grassroots involvement brings meaningful value to the ABA’s mission of promoting business vitality in the Lakes Region.
Jen McCullough, Secretary
Jen grew up in Melrose, Massachusetts and has spent summers in Alton Bay since birth. In 2002 Jen and her husband decided to build a home in Alton Bay and make it their year-round residence with their two children. Jen is a realtor with Maxfield Real Estate. While she specializes in island property, she sells mainland properties as well. Spending time on the lake has always been her passion so selling Real Estate on the Islands and shores of Winnipesaukee is something that just came natural. Her hobbies include skiing, both water and snow, snowmobiling, boating, hiking, and spending time with her family on the lake.
