About Alton Business Association
Who We Are
Our Mission Statement: The Alton Business Association (ABA) is a local association of business people organized to promote the commercial interests and welfare of Alton, New Hampshire and bordering communities, by providing information and assistance to new and existing businesses located in Alton and surrounding areas, and by working with members of the community and municipal representatives to promote local economic development and enhanced quality of life for the benefit of present and future residents, businesses and visitors.
What We Do
All of the things that we do are through the generosity and involvement of our members and volunteers.
Highlights include:
- Annual Alton Winter Carnival & Raffles (Largest ABA fundraiser of the year)
- Monthly meetings/business share services
- Ice Out Contest
- Support of members in Celebrations and/or Tragedies
- Old Home Day Parade during Old Home Week
- Harvest Happenings Event and Display a Giant Pumpkin in downtown Alton
- Festival of Trees
- Light up night at Ginny Douglas Park for Christmas
- Quarterly Social Events/Mingle
- Donations to various other local nonprofits
- Donation to the Alton Food Pantry and the Mrs. Santa Fund
- Scholarship to PMHS FBLA Student
- Business Member Directory on Website
When and Where
Currently the ABA meets on the first Thursday of each month @ 5:30 pm. The locations varies so please check our event calendar, social media pages or your email. We also host quarterly social network gatherings at local businesses, and hold committee meetings during special events.
