The Alton Business Association is hosting an online forum for candidates for school and town offices in Alton, New Hampshire to share information about their candidacy.
**FOR THE COMMUNITY**
If you have questions for specific candidates, please submit them to us via messenger or via our email at info@altonbusinessassociation.com We hope to provide candidates time to formulate a thoughtful response. We cannot guarantee that candidates will respond to requests for questions, but we will do our best to facilitate!
**FOR CANDIDATES**
Candidates are invited to submit a brief (up to 5 minutes) video of themselves to introduce themselves to Alton voters. Candidates are encouraged to include the following information in their video submission:
– Name
– Office they are running for
– Why they believe themselves to be the best candidate
– How voters can find out more about your candidacy
– Name

Any videos that include the following items will not be shared on the event page:
– Vulgar language
– Disparaging remarks about another candidate or elected official
Keep the video positive and focused on yourself, your candidacy, and how you plan to serve if elected to office.
In addition to submitting a video, we encourage candidates to include any campaign social media pages or profiles, websites, or contact information for voters to get better acquainted with your platform.

“Alton Ice-Out Contest” When do you think the official ice-out will happen?
Complete the entry form on this event page to cast your guess!You can also fill out a paper entry at Hannaford!****ALL entries must be received by March 31st!
Your entry must state your name, address, phone number, date and time what you believe the actual ice-out will be. Contest is open to all; only one entry per person.The entry with the exact or closest to the actual ice-out date will be the winner and receive an Alton Business Association Gift Basket full of items from our local community businesses.
Ice-Out is defined as the moment when the M/S Mount Washington can reach each of its ports unobstructed by ice. Local residents who are considered experts in the art of ice watching, supplemented by observations from aircraft, pinpoints the official date and time of the Ice-Out.

The ABA is a non-profit local association that is comprised of business members from Alton and surrounding town communities. Our MISSION is to promote the commercial interests and welfare of the Alton community. We gladly accept and appreciate DONATIONS at any time to support the numerous events, fundraisers and donations to charities our association provides!
